NIGHTINGALE House Hospice in Wrexham is launching its annual Light up a Life Appeal which celebrates the life and memory of loved ones in the community.
The charity is inviting people from all faiths and beliefs to remember a loved one or to honour a friend, relative or colleague by making a donation to sponsor a light on the Christmas trees in its grounds.

A service of remembrance will be held in
the hospice grounds on Friday, December 5, to celebrate the memories of loved ones.

A number of services will also be held in the hospice catchment area. Lights lit in memory will shine until Twelfth Night.

A special Book of Honour with the names of all those remembered can be viewed at each service.

Caroline Siddall, the hospice's income generation manager, said: "Light up a Life is a celebration which anyone can join in with whilst helping to raise funds for the hospice. Last year more than 1,500 people where remembered and we want to keep those memories alive this year.

"Any donation is welcome and the proceeds will go towards our specialist palliative care services."
