Rhos Street School, Ruthin received the grant to develop outdoor classroom areas from the lottery-funded grants programme Awards for All Wales.
The new areas will boost facilities at the school enabling groups to use the new areas to develop awareness of the environment.
Headteacher David Williams said: "The staff are thrilled with the award - the money will make a real difference providing a really exciting resource.
"We are hoping that work on this project will begin in the new year".
