A55 re-opens after serious accident in Flintshire.

A WOMAN has been seriously injured after an accident, which saw the closure of the A55 near Caerwys.
Emergency services were called to the three-vehicle collision involving a car and a van near Caerwys, Flintshire at 2.53am this morning (Monday, May 12).

One female driver was rushed to Glan Clwyd Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.

The road was closed in both directions following the accident, but the westbound carriageway was later re-opened.

The eastbound carriageway remained closed this morning while accident investigation work took place, but it is now open (11.30am).
