A DEAD body has been found in a Chester city centre underground car park.
Police were called out to Heritage Court, off Lower Bridge Street, at about 7.55am today, May 15, after a member of the public made the grim discovery.

The man, believed to be homeless, was found slumped in the car park beneath Heritage Court.

A local resident, who asked to remain anonymous, said: "I'm shocked. I can't believe a man was found dead at the back of my house."

Cheshire Constabulary Spokesman, Rachel Hayes, confirmed a body of a man was found but said there did not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.

The man is yet to be formally identified.

The area was cordoned off until about midday when the body was removed and an investigation is now underway.
