Mold Food Festival, which saw almost 12,000 visitors flock to the town last year, will be held this year on Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21, and will host cookery demonstrations from two celebrity chefs, along with a number of other events.
This year, BBC1 chef Rachel Allen and Ready Steady Cook star Gino D'Acampo will be making an appearance.
Rachel, who has hosted her own BBC show, Rachel's Favourite Food at Home, and is a regular guest on Saturday Kitchen, will take to the stage on the first day of the festival and Gino, who appears regularly in BBC2's Ready Steady Cook and who has had numerous appearances on Saturday Cooks and Daily Cooks, will show off his culinary skills on the second.
Chairman of the Mold Hotel and Restaurant Association, Greg Shankar, said: "We are absolutely delighted that Rachel and Gino will be joining us for this year's event. Both are excellent chefs, as well as being big stars on television.
"Anyone who has seen them on television will know how charismatic and enthusiastic they are, and we know they will be fantastic. Visitors to this year's event are in for a treat."
The Mold Cook's Challenge competition is running yet again this year and festival organisers are encouraging all amateur chefs in the area to take part.
The winner will get the chance to cook their recipe at the festival, using the same top-of-the-range demonstration kitchen as the celebrity chefs.
Greg added: "We have been thrilled with the number of entries so far, but we are always willing to accept more.
"The prize is a chance in a lifetime for someone who has always dreamed about being a top chef."
Anyone wishing to take part in the competition must be over 18, have no professional cooking experience or qualifications and use at least two items in their dish that have been grown, sourced or produced within a 50 mile radius of Mold.
Recipe entries, which must be named, can be posted or dropped off at the Bryn Awel Hotel, Denbigh Road, Mold.
Anyone wishing to book a stand for the festival can call 01352 758622, or email
