CAR giant Toyota announced today that its Deeside plant will supply the engines for the new Avensis model, which will be built in Burnaston, Derbyshire.
Production of the new the D-segment model, which makes its world premiere at the Paris Motor Show today, will begin in November.

The Deeside plant will supply 1.6 and 1.8 valvematic petrol engines

Last month Toyota said it was reviewing production at Deeside following a reduction of output at Burnaston, but that no jobs in Deeside would be affected.

A spokesman said today the company was continuing to monitor market conditions.
