A CRAFT shop in Mold was a runner up in a national competition.
Readers of two crafts magazines by Origin Publishing voted Crafty Sue's on Chester Street runners up in the Welsh region of the craft, hobby and stitch awards.

Owner Clare Jones said: "I found out on Sunday by reading the magazine and a few customers have been in to tell me the news.

"I didn't expect it with the shop being so small.

"I'm thrilled and I would like to thank everybody who voted for me."

Clare took the shop over from previous owners in October 2005 and says the business is doing well.

She said: "I've been into crafts for about 10 years.

"The business is doing really really well and I'm really pleased with how it's going."

Clare has multiple sclerosis and has made almost £700 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society by selling second hand items donated to the shop.
