A SOCIAL group for disabled adults has been launched following the success of a similar group in another town.
Flintshire Disability Forum officially opened their new group at St Peter's Church in Rosehill, Holywell this week.

The group is for adults of 18 years and over who are living with a physical and/or sensory impairment.

The new group will meet weekly at the church between 1pm and 3pm, with outings taking place once a month.

Another group is planned to start at St Francis Anglican church hall, Chester Road, Sandycroft.

An opening celebration for this group will be held in the church hall on June 4 2008.

The two new groups are supported by a grant from the Welsh Assembly Government, Flintshire County Council, Flintshire Local Health Board and the National Public Health Service.

These groups have been set up due to the success of the Forum's existing Buckley social group which has been meeting for almost two years on Thursday afternoons.

Anyone interested in attending or volunteering for these groups should contact Hayley Roberts on 01352 756618.
