THE family of a young boy, left 'heartbroken' after thieves stole his beloved pet dogs, have made a renewed plea for their safe return.
It is now a month since two pedigree border terriers belonging to Jonathan Jones, aged five, of Pontybodkin, were taken.

However, his family are refusing to give up hope of seeing them again, and a £400 reward is being offered for their return.

Jonathan's dad, who asked not to be named, said: "We want to keep the appeal going in the hope of triggering something off in people's minds.

"It has been a month but we can't give up hope and have to stay positive.

"They were my son's pets and he is absolutely heartbroken that someone has taken them.

"We've had the dogs for many years. They are part of the family and it's upsetting that someone has taken them.

"We just want them returned safely."

The dogs, one male and one bitch, are described as 'red-grizzle' coloured border terriers.

They were kept in a kennel on land in Pontybodkin belonging to the owners.

The dogs were stolen overnight between Monday, April 8, and Tuesday, April 9.

Police are investigating the theft, and anyone with information can contact the family on 0776 249 7988, PC 2459 Jaundrill at Mold Police Station on 0845 607 1002, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
