Flintshire journalist dies after illness

Gill Isted, who formerly worked for the Flintshire Chronicle and Ellesmere Port Pioneer, died after a short illness, aged 65.
Mrs Isted, of Cilcain, Flintshire, was well known in the community and was a supporter of North Clwyd Animal Rescue, as well as chair of Clwyd Community Health Council's Flintshire committee.

Originally from Bangor, she worked as a teacher until the 1970s, when she moved into journalism.

She remained at the Chronicle until her retirement in 2004.
