A TEENAGER is hoping to raise £3,000 for charity by walking along one of the world's most famous landmarks.
Nathan Catherall, 18, of Brookside Crescent, Northop Hall, will be taking part in a group walk along part of the Great Wall of China to raise money for the cancer charity, Marie Curie.

The group will be made up of people from across the United Kingdom and the walk will take place from September 6 to September 14.

Nathan, who is studying for his A-levels at Hawarden High School, decided to take up the challenge because there is a history of bowel cancer in his distant family and he wanted to raise money for Marie Curie.

Speaking about the event, he said: "I've been advised to go on long walks as part of the training.

"I'm looking forward to walking on the Great Wall of China, it should be good fun."

Anyone who would like to help by sponsoring Nathan can do so on his fundraising website, www.justgiving.com/nathancatherall.
