A GROUP of North Wales ghosthunters visited Flintshire's best known paranormal hotspot to try to discover the real truth about its unexplained sightings.
The Ghanon Paranormal Group spent the night on the roadside of the A541 outside Plas Teg, Pontblyddyn.
The stretch of road has seen many single car accidents when motorists have reported seeing misty white shapes, causing them to brake or swerve.
Some paranormal experts say the A541 is patrolled by phantom horsemen, normally seen at dusk during the months of September and October.
The Ghanon ghostbusters set out to find rational explanations for the strange activities.
Kevin Griffiths-Boden, group founder, said: "There are many signposts on this stretch of road which reflect car headlights in various directions which could explain these white misty shapes. However, we drove along the carriageway many times but could not replicate this.
"That is not to say that under certain environmental conditions and/or positioning of passing vehicles, this could actually be the cause.
"Ghanon is a scientific group and unlike others, do not use psychics or mediums. We are rational investigators trying to discover the real truth behind the paranormal. We do not disbelieve, but without hard evidence we have to remain sceptical."
