Flintshire high school pupils have been getting to grips with the latest technology.
Year 8 youngsters at Holywell High School are the first in Wales to each receive new computers, donated by Dixons Store Group.
The mini-notebook machines have been given to every member of Year 8 thanks to efforts by the E-learning Foundation.
Assistant head Ian Evans said: "ICT is a very useful tool in helping children's learning.
"It is great to have the technology right there, because it makes it much easier that you don't have to book a computer. The whole year group now has a computer that they can use any time in any lesson. They use them for word processing and in some science lessons they are taking pictures of the science experiments with the webcam."
If the trial is a success, the school expects to roll out the programme to all year groups within the next two years.
Mr Evans added: "These laptops will be a marvellous tool that will enhance our pupils' learning. We would like to thank Dixons Store Group and the E-learning Foundation for all the work they've done for us."
