THE Wrexham FC squad will be out in force today to meet fans at the launch of the club's brand new megastore.
At 4pm all the players and management staff will officially open the store, which at 2,000 sq ft, and ten times bigger than the club's old shop.

Yesterday, Wrexham FC chief executive Anthony Fairclough was supervising the fitting of the Mold Road
store, which is on the former site of club vice-president Neville Dickens's garage, ready for today's grand opening.

He said: "Not only is it the launch of the megastore but also the launch of the Wrexham shirt.

"We're pleased to announce we've got the Wales football shirts on sale and the Welsh rugby shirts on sale - so there's quite a mixture of products for Wrexham fans to see.

"The shop's display will be Wales-themed, with the new Welsh shirts being the main feature."

Mr Fairclough said that there was a play area for kids with a goal and free parking at the front of the shop.

"It's a much better shop in terms of space and environment for fans to enjoy," he said.

"In the next couple of weeks we'll push in the ticket office and we're working with the new EPOS system and all products will be bar-coded so it will be a slicker and more professional operation."

The shop is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and will be open seven days a week during the Christmas period.
