Before she competes in the final of Miss Wales this summer, Eleri Williams-Cooke, went along to Abermorddu Primary School where they held a non-uniform day on Friday, May 23.
Graduating as a primary school teacher in July, after studying at Bangor University, Eleri, 21, also helped pupils with their work on the day.
Eleri, from Mold, graduates the day before the final and thought it was a good thing to do after university. She said: "I graduate in July and I was planning to take a year out anyway and this is something a bit different to do."
During the early rounds of the competition Eleri was made to walk on hot coals, chop wood with her hands and bend iron bars with her neck in the run up to becoming a finalist in the competition this summer.
She said after finding out she was in the final: "We had a masterclass where I had to walk on hot coal, I had to break wood with my hands and bend iron rods with my neck.
"It was a way of saying that we can do anything we put our minds to – it was really enjoyable.
"A week later, I found out I was in the final."
Eleri is one of the 68 finalists for Miss Wales taking place on July 19 at Cardiff International Arena, where she will have dress up in Welsh wear, club wear and evening wear.
Through sponsorship, she will be raising money for both the Joshua Foundation, the official Miss Wales charity which provides life experiences for terminally ill children and a charity of her choice.
She has already received £500 from David Owen hairdressing in Mold.
Eleri will also be taking part in a sponsored bungee jump and a swimathon before the final for her own charity Marie Curie Cancer Care.
