A MOTHER of seven died from drug abuse, an inquest heard.
Gillian Riley, 44, of St Giles Crescent, Wrexham died on September 26 last year after being admitted to hospital.

Mrs Riley had been taking heroin since she was 24 – smoking and injecting the drug.

She had a habit costing up to £20 a day and had been in court for stealing to fund her drug addiction.

Coroner John Hughes described her death as "desperately sad".

Mrs Riley had been taken to hospital after she had begun to feel unwell. She had Hepatitis C and cirrhosis of the liver.

Doctors had decided surgery could not be undertaken on Mrs Riley because of her condition.

Mrs Riley went to Prestatyn High School and left when she was 15.

Her lifestyle was described by Mr Hughes as "chaotic" and the inquest heard that she "never kicked the drug".

He said she had "brought about her own illness" and died as a result of drug abuse.
