North Wales Police named top employer for gay staff

NORTH Wales Police have been named one of the top employers in Wales for its attitude towards homosexual staff.
North Wales Police came second in a survey published by campaign group Stonewall, which surveyed nearly 7,000 workers across Wales.
Employers were ranked according to criteria ranging from implementation of an effective equality policy to demonstrating how they engage with their homosexual staff and customers and service users.
North Wales Police Assistant Chief Constable, Ian Shannon said:"North Wales Police is committed to ensuring that all communities in North Wales receive a fair and equitable policing service.
"This demonstrates our commitment to the communities we serve."
