AN appeal has been made for witnesses after an incident at the Flint and Denbigh agricultural show.
North Wales Police are asking for information after two police officers were allegedly assaulted at the Flint and Denbigh agricultural show on Thursday, August 21.

Officers were called to a report of disorder at a bar inside the showground at The
Green, Denbigh, at about 6.30pm.

Four men were arrested in relation to the incident, including a 48-year-old from the Holywell area, who was charged with affray.

A 31-year-old man from Rhyl was charged with affray, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest and a 28-year-old man from Trelawnyd was also charged with affray, a Section 47 assault and assaulting a police officer.

The three men were all charged and, as the Leader reported on Monday, appeared before Llandudno magistrates on Saturday.

An 18-year-old man from Prestatyn was also charged with a section five public order offence and assaulting a police officer and was bailed to appear before Denbigh magistrates on Monday, September 8.

Anybody who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who may have information is asked to contact Sgt Steve Whitfield at Ruthin Police Station on 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line) or 0845 607 1002 (English line).
