CASK ale fans are in for a treat when a Wrexham pub holds a beer festival with no fewer than 16 ales on tap.
Taking pride of place will be the pub's own special brew, Cookie's Ale, named in memory of the beloved pet cat at The Gredington Arms in Holt Road, Llanypwll, Wrexham, who died recently having been a favourite with customers over the years.
The Hydes pub, run by Rod and Di Watson, is all set to launch the two-day Bank Holiday beer festival which will take place in a marquee at the pub from 4pm on Friday, August 22, until midnight on Saturday, August 23.
Available ales will include Jekyll's Gold, Bells and Whistles and Original, from local leading brewer Hydes, and others from around the country including Brains Bitter, Wethergate's Vixen and Bateman's Thirsty Work.
Licensee Rod said: "We are really looking forward to the festival which will add some excitement to the Bank Holiday weekend with so many beers for customers to try. There will be our usual home cooked food, and live music over the weekend, including a special disco on the Saturday night."
