A CONTROVERSIAL book on "white history" by a Deeside man is recommended reading for British National Party members, according to a party councillor.
John Walker, from Mancot, a BNP member of Hawarden Community Council, says all party members are encouraged to read The March of the Titans: the History of the White Race.

The book's author is Deeside man Arthur Kemp, himself a member of the far-right party.

Mr Kemp, however, denied that the book was recommended party reading, insisting there was no "official party directive" on reading material.

The book has faced accusations of historical inaccuracy.

Anti-fascist magazine Searchlight has strongly criticised the work, claiming it is "full of pseudo-history", but Mr Kemp has dismissed the controversy surrounding his work.

He said: "It is a history of the white people.

"No-one would criticise a book about the history of the American Indians or the Chinese people."

The book is stocked at the BNP's national merchandising headquarters in Deeside, where Mr Kemp has been working in a marketing role.

Called Excalibur, the facility produces party memorabilia including T-shirts, books and badges, which, according to the official BNP website, bear slogans such as 'No Immigrants – No Bombs' and 'England: love it or leave it'.

Party leaders had refused to reveal the exact location of Excalibur, claiming there was no need as the store is operated via the internet and bulk mailing, and is not open to the general public.

But last week Searchlight revealed the facility is based at the Evans Business Centre on Deeside Industrial Estate.

The BNP has been branded racist by mainstream politicians, who say that they are unhappy about the party's operation in Flintshire.

Carl Sargeant, AM for Alyn and Deeside, said: "I am disappointed to hear that the BNP are using premises in Flintshire to distribute literature and merchandise that promotes aggression towards minority groups.

"It is a long-standing belief that myself and Alyn and Deeside MP Mark Tami have been up-front about, that there is no place for the BNP in Flintshire or in the UK."

All the three main parties are spitting their dummies out of their pram when BNP bashing

Let the people decide who they will vote for, there is plenty of newspapers literature and web site for information, stop treating the British people like children.

The so-called "anti-fascist" organisation Searchlight is run by a man who stood as a Communist Party candidate! Who is going to take the word of a Stalinist era Marxist crank as gospel? Only a madman would. People can read the truth about Searchlight at www.searchlightexposed.com

So it is okay to have Black History Month rammed down our throats and the Black Police Officers Association in existence and numerous other pro ethnic organisations and events but a book on the history of the white man's achievements and progress creates a storm??????

If and I say IF this book is inaccurate then others who read it will see that this is so, but to have a go at innacuracies is a bit lame coming from a group renown for its inaccuracies.

It looks to me that Searchlight are bleating about nothing.

If I were to write a book on the history of the black race , Searchlight would say nothing, and that leads me to belive that Searchlight are not a group who support free speech unless it suits them.

As for the BNP they are a legal political party, that most people ignore, they are out numbered and therefore will never gain power in the UK.

Searchlight are trying to stir up trouble in north Wales useing the BNP unit in Deeside as bait.

The fact that Arthur Kemp has writen a book on the history of the white race means nothing, if its inacurate then they wont sell many, and it will get bad reviews from people who give an honest non bias review, people who are not affiliated to either the BNP or Searchlight.

Any other reviews should be ignored as being bias, its as simple as that.

Just who is creating this 'storm' and how is it manifesting itself? This is just another shabby Searchlight attempt aided by the Evening Leader to attack the rights of the BNP. Searchlight's obsession with the BNP is giving me the creeps.

people are only going to read it if they want to read it.
im sick to death of white people being accussed of being racist. im not a racist but im fed up of black history months, black music awards etc etc... if we had white history month or white music awards there would be hell to pay. what good for one is good for another.
