Cllr George Hardcastle, leader of the Coalition Committee, said: "I am delighted with the success of our campaign, but I want to know what is going to happen next.

"I want to know what will happen to the houses at the Aston Mead estate and how it will affect residents living nearby in sheltered accommodation.

"I feel that the Welsh Assembly 'jumped the gun' when they made the decision to evict the Aston Mead tenants. They should have waited until a decision was made before any action was taken, and people would have been able to remain in their homes.

"I would not like to see the houses left to fall into disrepair. My concern now is what is going to happen next."

Graham Wheldon, of Sychdyn, added: "I am not criticising the campaigners at all, but I am intrigued to know what is going to happen now.

"What will happen to all the traffic reaching the river crossings in Queensferry? There is no by-pass around Flint and Aston Hill will be clogged every weekend.

"I would also like to know what will happen to the compulsory purchased properties at Aston Mead. We are very puzzled and there seems to be a big question mark hanging over the issue now."
