A WREXHAM couple are celebrating losing a combined eight stone after joining a weight loss group.
Jamie Marshall and Charlotte Roberts, both 24, joined their local group after Charlotte piled on the pounds following the birth of her daughter.

The pair worked together to spur each other on to see who could lose the most weight and managed to shed the huge number of pounds in just 12 months.

Both are still able to enjoy their favourite meals after learning to cook them differently.

Charlotte said: "You can eat so much that when I first started people couldn't believe how much I was eating and still losing weight.

"Our favourite meals have to be chips, eggs and peas or chicken stuffed with cheese and garlic then wrapped in bacon, served with salad."

Jamie added: "Going to the group has really helped, I look forward to it because it's fun, lively and we always have a giggle!

"I stay as you get to hear about everyone's week and pick up loads of ideas. The consultant, Sam, is a really great support and is always there to help us both."

Both now enjoying keeping fit at the gym and being much more active.

Anyone who would like to find out more about groups in the Wrexham area should ring Sam on 01244 536754.
