Yale's Theatre In Education (TIE) company of second year BTEC National Diploma students will present the hour-long production entitled What If, engaging in peer to peer educational work.
It will open at the college today at 7pm and then tour secondary schools throughout the week.
The TIE production is being warmly welcomed by schools, which have requested an extension to the programme to allow more pupils to participate.
Sergeant Andrew Griffiths and Sergeant Steven Lloyd from North Wales Police have pledged their support to the project through consultation about knife crime.
Liaising with the police, the local education authority and retaining an excellent reputation, the TIE company has toured locally and nationally for five years to address highly topical issues affecting youth culture.
This latest performance has undergone extensive research by the students.
It was developed from a script written by screenwriter Karen Bird of Freebirds Production Limited, and a lecturer at Yale.
The practice of youngsters playing a role in key matters has been highlighted by the National Assembly's Education Minister Jane Hutt, who said: "The Welsh Assembly Government wants young people to be able to take part in things that affect them locally and nationally."
The performance at Yale this evening will be held at the Studio Theatre based in Grove Park.
