AN AIRBUS employee from Wrexham who has been rubbing shoulders with royalty featured in a documentary on Prince Charles.
Phil Jones, of Marford, near Wrexham, IT manager at the Broughton plant, appeared in Charles At 60: The Passionate Prince on BBC1, which offered a behind-the-scenes look at the life of HRH The Prince of Wales, to coincide with his 60th birthday.

Phil, a sports correspondent for the Evening Leader, has met the Prince three times during the last year, since being awarded an MBE at Buckingham Palace for his charity work and service to the community.

He said: "I attended a Gala Dinner at the Royal Albert Hall when the Prince spoke so passionately about climate change.

"I was also one of several leaders who participated in a live interactive video link to discuss and see what pledges could be made as part of the Prince's May Day summit on climate change.

"The highlight for me, though, was a visit to Highgrove where I was part of a team of North Wales business leaders who have been working on and tackling the topic of homelessness."

Phil added: "I was filmed chatting to the Prince over lunch, when we talked quite freely on a wide variety of things.

"I joked that I had first met him way back in the late 1950s. He seemed quite shocked but saw the funny side of me telling him it was only on the front of a savings stamp!"
