NORTH WALES LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION REVIEW - David Lloyd continued his brilliant form with a man of the match performance for Brymbo as they overcame previous leaders Menai Bridge by just two runs.
Having lost the toss, Brymbo were made to bat by their lofty opponents.
It appeared to be a bad toss to lose as the home side lost their top three batsmen for a combined total of 28.
Lloyd came to the wicket with Menai's bowlers' tails up but he defied his lack of experience to produce a match winning knock.
Despite little support from any of his team mates, Lloyd saw off James Coate (5-40) for a number of overs and he made 72 from his team's total of 148 all out.
In response, only James Coate (68) made any headway as Lloyd (3-37) and Chris Truelove (5-37) produced a magnificent display of bowling to continue Brymbo's fantastic run of results and dislodge Menai (146) from top spot in the league.
Pontblyddyn took captain Julian Morris's advice on board as they bowled superbly to see off Hawarden Park and send their opponents back in to the relegation places.
After Phil Davies (59), Mark Neath (39) and Chris Moss (55 not out) had led the home side to 222-5 declared, Pont's bowling attack rolled over Park's batsmen for just 118.
Nathan Pearson (44) was the only man to put up any fight as Mark Neath (4-9), Charles Fernando (3-26) and Glenn Chambers (2-20) gave Park little chance of securing victory.
Glenn Scott was the star of the show for Mold as they moved within one point of second placed Menai Bridge with victory over Connah's Quay.
Quay continued the trend of the weekend by winning the toss and choosing to bowl as Sean Steynberg-Wright returned with excellent figures of 5-8.
Having watched Jamie Griffths (34) and Cliff Wiseman (35) lead Mold to 132-3, Steynberg-Wright dismissed the whole of the lower order to leave Mold on 160 all out.
Scott and Usman Butt made sure Quay's reply never really got going as the away side were bowled out for a paltry 90, Martin Burger leading from the front with 55 as no other batsman made more than nine.
Scott (6-33) and Butt (4-36) picked up all ten Quay wickets inside 30 overs.
Llandudno moved top of the league with a resounding nine wicket victory over Bethesda.
Romain Grenville (4-16) and Elgan Williams (2-7) ensured that Bethesda were skittled for a dismal 88.
Llandudno then eased to 91-1 after 23.3 overs with Steve Smith 48 not out and Duncan Midgely 37 top scoring.
Russ Boswell was the hero for Mochdre as they beat St Asaph by seven wickets.
Boswell took 7-44 including overseas professional Geovanni De Bartolo for 90 as St Aspah made a score of 151 all out.
In response, Phil Dickson (61 not out) and Gareth Davies (47) saw Mochdre home with just three wickets down.
Rohan Wright (65 not out) gave Llanrwst a five wicket triumph over Bangor in the final game of the weekend.
Bangor set 102 for victory as Trefor Williams (3-18) and Alwyn Williams (3-38) dismissed the visitors for 101.
Wright then saw Llanrwst home with an undefeated half century after the hosts had slumped to 4-4 as Gareth Edwards took 3-23.
