Winger Aiston was put on the transfer list at the end of last season having only been handed an 18 month contract in January after originally joining Wrexham on loan from Northampton Town.
Having accepted that some players would be made available for transfer following relegation from the Football League, Aiston announced he is happy to stay at The Racecourse.
"It was a bit of a blow being listed. People have been released but at the end of the day we got relegated so there is not much argument," said Aiston today.
"Players being put on the transfer list was to be expected.
"I have just got on with it. The gaffer knows me as well as any manager, and he knows my strengths and weaknesses.
"There is no grudge from last season. That has gone now and the gaffer said we start afresh - it is a clean slate and I am pleased with that.
"At our level, anyone could go if the right money was offered.
"I am happy here. My family is settled and we don't want to move.
"If an unbelievable offer came in I would consider it but at the moment I am not going anywhere."
Although he has been placed on the transfer list, Aiston has been given an opportunity by manager Brian Little in pre-season and he started the final friendly at Stafford Rangers at the weekend.
That means that Aiston has a good chance of starting the opening Blue Square Premier match against Stevenage Borough on Saturday.
And Aiston, who has impressed on the left flank, is pleased to have been featured so prominently for the Reds over the summer.
"I could do a few things better but I am happy to be playing," said Aiston.
"That is what I want to be doing.
"The gaffer has been as good as his word and I have had a chance - that is all you can ask.
"It is a massive year for me and we will have to see what happens.
"It has been a positive start and I hope it continues."
Wrexham only lost one pre-season friendly against The New Saints, the same day another Reds' team ran out winners at Colwyn Bay.
The defeat against TNS was the only time Wrexham have conceded and Aiston is delighted with the build-up to the new season.
"I am delighted with how it has gone for all of us, we could not have done any better," added Aiston.
"We have not conceded a goal so it is a case of so far so good.
"But it counts for nothing if we go five games without winning in the league.
"Saturday is the big test and we will work on things this week.
"We don't know what will happen for Saturday, although we have got a rough idea of the team."
