Dean Saunders has become the bookies' favourite to replace Brian Little as the manager of Wrexham FC.
Bookies Victor Chandler slashed the probability of Dean Saunders getting the top job at Wrexham from 11/2 to 2/1.
The odds were cut after the Evening Leader revealed Saunders had been at Wrexham FC today (September 30) watching a trial match involving several first team players.
Dean Saunders, who had a successful playing career with the likes of Aston Villa, Liverpool and Galatasary, is currently assistant manager to Wales boss John Toshack.
After retiring from the game, he became a coach at Bradford, before a spell at Newcastle United under Graeme Souness, initially as strikers' coach and then as first team coach.
