Speaking on the Reds' official website, Brian Little said it was important to create stability at the Wrexham club – no matter what division the team are in next year.

Brian Little said: "I have agreed with the club to sign a new deal and I think it is important from everyobody's point of view to get some stability back here.

"My job is now to really resurrect things on the field, irrespective of what division we are in next year and we still have a number of games in which to save ourselves.

"I would like to think there are some happy supporters on hearing the news, but I accept that some will be disappointed with results over the last three months.

"What I would say is that our current plight is something that has gone for the last three years and it is something we have tried hard to put right in a short space of time.

"To those supporters who might be a little critical of myself, I would say 'look judge me on the team I put together next season'.

"I feel it's vital for the club to show some stability.

"My job is to build on the field of play and I'm looking forward to next season, irrespective of what happens in our last five games of this year, building an exciting, strong team that will be very competitive and successful."

Brian Little added: "After the last few years, everybody deserves a team on the pitch that wins football matches and that's exactly what I'll be looking to try and do next season."

l think the news of Brian signing a new year contract is excellent news for the club. Brian is correct in saying that we have been rubbish on the field for the last 3 season and have been on a downward spiral every since. Alot of players are out of contract in the summer regardless of what league we are in, but we should measure Brian on what he does next season with hopefully a complete new squad of players who want to play for us. We are a massive club but the only place that matters is on the field and in our results. Good luck Brian, l hope and pray you do well and release all of the wasters within your current squad, regardless if there dad is the physio or not.

I agree, excellent news that Brian has committed himself to Wrexham for a further 2years.It is a similar position as to when Flynnie took over, and look how well he did for us.A big clear out is needed,we want players that want to play for us,we must get rid of the hangers on.Getting decent players to come to a non-league club is a big ask,but with the contacts Brian has i am sure it can be done.Remember,as from next month we will be a BIG club in the Blue Square Premier, one that everyone will want to beat,so while it wont be easy,we should have the experience and set-up etc to get out at the 1st attempt. But there again,Oxford are a big club, and look how long they have been there.Only time will tell.C'mon boys, play with passion and pride, week in week out,you CAN do it.

What exactly has Brian Little done to merit a two-year contract?
He has had almost half the season to turn around Wrexham FC's fortunes and brought in eleven of his own players!
We have look destined to relegation after failing to beat poor teams at the bottom of the table yet, Brian Little's reward for steering us to non-league football in a two-year contract?
The close season priorities are a massive clearout and the signing of proven goalscorers.
I won't renew my season ticket unless big quality changes are made - quickly!

Excuse the pun - Little has done very little !!! a) His failure has sullied a proud tradition of unbroken membership in FA . b) Immediate dismisal would appear suitable and urgent c) A " clearing out " is usual from the top down !!!!
