FORMER Tranmere defender Carl Tremarco has signed a two-year deal with Wrexham.
The defender was one of three players considering offers from the Reds, along with Matty Done and Steve Evans.

Carl Tremarco, who signed from Tranmere Rovers in the January transfer window, impressed during his stint with Wrexham FC, despite missing several games through injury.

The left back had been linked with a move to cross-border rivals Chester City, but he has now committed to the Reds as Brian Little's side look to bounce back from the disappointment of relegation out of the Football League.

Speaking to the Evening Leader, after signing his new deal Carl Tremarco said: "I received a few offers from other clubs but Wrexham appealed to me.

"It seemed right to stay because I feel the fans have not seen the best of me yet.

"I had to think long and hard about signing a two-year deal because I had received a couple of offers from league clubs, but once I spoke to my missus who is expecting a baby soon, my mind was made up."
