Saturday's 3-1 victory against Weymouth means Wrexham have won all five league matches since Saunders took charge, beating the best winning start to a managerial stint at The Racecourse set by John Neal 40 years ago.
And Darracott, appointed assis
tant alongside Brian Carey upon Saunders' arrival, is delighted with the start but stressed there was plenty of work to do yet.
"I did not know that but it is a lovely thing and I am delighted for him," said Darracott today. "Dean has put in a lot of hard work, like the rest of us have since we come in.
"The most important thing is we keep it going. No-one can get carried away.
"Although we are pleased with how its going, everyone has to keep their feet on the ground.
"Everyone has got to keep their attitude up like they have shown so far. It has been excellent.
"The way everyone has applied themselves is why we have been getting the results we have, and long may it last."
Eighth place Wrexham are seven points behind leaders Burton Albion but with two games following their recent impressive run under Saunders, who is away with Wales in his role as assistant to boss John Toshack for the friendly in Denmark tomorrow.
Wrexham are back in action at Kidderminster Harriers and Darracott admitted there was a feel-good vibe in the camp in light of their good form.
"I am keeping in touch with what is going on all the time with Dean," added Darracott.
"Results brings confidence and hopefully they will be buzzing and really looking forward to the next game.
"It is a great feeling winning and you can't wait for the next game.
"The atmosphere in the training sessions has also been good and that is how it should be."
Darracott will assess the fitness of brothers Mike and Marc Williams ahead of the trip to Kidderminster after the pair were forced to pull out of the Wales semi-professional squad for tonight's international against Finland.
Centre-back Mike has a hamstring strain and striker Marc - who netted in the win at Weymouth on Saturday - is suffering with a back problem, so the pair have returned to Colliers Park for training.
