Speaking ahead of the friendly match with Wolves on Saturday, Little highlighted his willingness to try out different individuals in the role of captain throughout Wrexham's pre-season matches.
"Somebody will captain the games but each game we play and certainly the next three or four games you know are practice games," said Little.
"We are analysing the new group of players and why make a hasty decision when we don't need to make a decision? At the end of the day there are so many things new about the club this season in terms of everything that goes on here."
"Everything goes through Martin, Brian and myself. We feel that the players made too many decisions last season, organising this, organising that and that won't happen anymore.
"We are analysing the players and I will find a captain but at the moment it's not even a conversation piece.
Little continued by admitting that the permanent vacancy of club skipper may not be filled until August 9 and the club's first game outside the Football League in 87 years at home to Stevenage.
"We will find the right person and that role next season is different possibly to what it's been in the past," said Little. "What goes on around here goes through me, Martin and Brian so we took a lot of things away and there are many different things around the place.
"The topic of who will captain the team is really not an issue at the moment and in fact it might not find it's way until the opening game of the season.
"This pre-season is about making sure we are going to make right decisions and good decisions, so who will captain the team is not an issue at the moment.
"It's more about combinations, it's more about the players learning everything they can about the sport and the sort of things we want them to try and do. It's about practice matches against good opposition like Wolves and Blackpool, teams who could give us a hard time but there are other things we are looking for.
"There are too many other things that are more important to me. Finding out the right combinations of people in the next few games, both at the back with the centre backs, the strikers, the midfield players, which combination of wingers to use, whether to use wide players or whether to use people who are solid.
"We want to fetch out the best in the players and allied to that we are trying to bring in another player if we can but we have three trialists to look at.
"Like most people there are a lot of lads desperate to come in but we can't have ten players in. We need to analyse things closely. We are very busy and it would be nice tomorrow if we could do all the business we want to do and say this is the team and this is what we want to do but it isn't like that and we have to do things step by step.
"We are trying to be as composed, professional and as analytical as we can be to ensure we get it right because we want to start right.
"What we have done in a very short space of time is immense. Everything has changed and that, unfortunately, takes up a lot of our time but we are not behind the clock, if anything we are slightly ahead."
After the announcement of the club's squad numbers for the 2008/09 season last week, Little spoke about the need to freshen things up at The Racecourse – whether that be in terms of new faces or just new numbers on the players backs.
"If anyone wants to read anything into that then fine. I said to Procky (Michael Proctor) straight away when he said he had 18 – 'Dwight Yorke used to wear that number and he wasn't a bad player'.
"We just look at it and map it out. There are certain things behind the scenes but no one could pick the first team of the season yet – not even me.
"If I couldn't change personnel then I changed their number because it tests the mentality of different people.
"I want everyone to be different this season so some people we know will respond to things but the numbers on peoples back don't mean a thing these days.
"In certain cases giving someone a particular number can give them a boost so it is a bit of something – but nothing too much. If everyone had the same number and everything was the same then people would say 'not much going on there'.
