Not for the first time this season, Little was left frustrated after errors cost the rock bottom Reds who were beaten 3-1.

The calamitous opening goal saw Shaun Pejic deflect past goalkeeper Michael Jones who had shouted for the ball, and Little said Wrexham were fighting an uphill battle after that.

"We wanted to finish the season off at home better than that. The mistake again just set it all off," said Little.

"The young keeper made a mistake and from there on in it got very difficult.

"If you are a football player in a team losing 2-0, you have to show you are big enough and strong enough.

"You have got to physically show people you are rolling your sleeves up and having a go. If you can do that people will appreciate you and know your trying.

"And you yourself and proving to me the manager that you are not going to bottle situations.

"The young lads tried but all three goals were mistakes again."
Little continued with his policy of giving younger players an opportunity to impress as he continues planning for the future.

And the Reds' boss admitted some had not made the most of their chance: "It is hard for the young lads and as I have said all along, it is not their fault that we are relegated," he added.

"But what they are doing is learning a side to football which is there.

If they can come through it then fine, but we can't change anything else.

"Our focus is very much on next season.

"They are here to learn and this is the hardest place to learn.

"We needed the young lads to give us little glimpses of something we might be able to hang onto and help them with.

"Some of them failed that test so we have got more work to do next week, and more work to do in the summer."
