SLIDESHOW: Wrexham 1 Bradford 1

Six of Wrexham's next seven matches are against sides in the top 10 of the League Two table and challenging for promotion.

Wrexham themselves are now three points adrift of safety following Saturday's 1-1 draw against Bradford City at The Racecourse, and Little is hoping his side can continue to record positive results in forthcoming matches to boost hopes of avoiding relegation.

"There is a long way to go and we have got a lot of things to do," said Little today.

"We have got a period of games now that if we can come out of them and are in touch with people, then we are playing a lot of teams in the bottom half of the table to finish up.

"They will be massive games for us so it is important for us to pick up points.

"We are happy with the fact that at the moment there is a genuine belief that we can get something out of games, and I am hopeful we are going down a road which might see us go to safety."

Wrexham took a first half lead through Neil Roberts, his second goal in two outings, before Bradford levelled early in the second period.

And Little was disappointed after Wrexham failed to win a second successive match having disposed of leaders Milton Keynes Dons the previous weekend.

"I think we were closer to winning than losing. At 1-0, maybe we could have got a second," said Little.

"At 1-1 we had a couple of decent half chances and then in the end you get nervous because Gavin has to pull off one good save, and Bradford got a couple of late corners which another day or a week or two ago might have ended in the back of our net.

"There is a group out there who are standing up to things at the moment.

"Am I happy with a point? Yes, I guess so. But a little disappointed as well because I thought we were a bit unlucky. The goal was a poor goal, and that made it difficult for us."

Wrexham operated with a 3-5-2 system but Little switched to a 3-4-3 formation in an attempt to win the game.

Although he had to be content with a draw, Little was pleased to see his side try and prise three points from the contest: "There were signs of a team at 1-1 who changed tactics, became aggressive, put the opposition under pressure and tried to win the game," he said.

"When you are bottom of the table, to be able to do that is reasonably pleasing."

Little has made 11 additions to the Wrexham squad since taking charge in November but he stressed that players already at the club still have a part to play: "We are trying to create something different but we are not discounting players still at the club to hopefully have a major say in how things go," he said.

"I am pleased with the new players, mostly because of their attitude and the fact they have come into something difficult – but don't seem to see it as difficult.

"They are rolling their sleeves up, encouraging each other, and the team is going out there with a great deal of spirit.

"Everybody – including the players who have been here a while – seem to have found a little something extra which is nice."

Little is delighted with the contribution of left-wing back Carl Tremarco, who has had his contract at Tranmere taken over by Wrexham until the end of the season.

"I believe should we stay in the league, people like Carl will want to be here, because he is definitely a Football League player," added Little. "I am pleased he has come in and is doing a good job for us.

"Carl is one of the players we have brought in and has the ability to step up a league as time goes by, whereas the others are coming in to do a job for us short term."
