MANAGERLESS Wrexham FC came from behind to earn a point against Torquay at The Racecourse.
With Brian Carey and Martin Foyle taking charge of the Reds following Brian Little's shock departure earlier in the day, Wrexham made several changes to their starting line-up.

Simon Spender and Nat Brown were recalled, while top scorer Jefferson Louis found himself on the subs bench with Marc Williams preferred up front. Christian Smith and Mike Williams were also handed starting roles as Wrexham looked to bounce back from successive defeats.

But the new-look Reds, watched by a crowd of just under 2,900, found themselves behind just after the half hour mark when Tim Sills scored after being set up by Kevin Nicholson.

Wrexham didn't let their heads drop though and hit back just before the break when Simon Brown converted Marc Williams' pass.

After the re-start, Gavin Ward did well to tip over Roscoe DSane's effort, while Carl Tremarco saw his shot saved at the other end.

But neither side could force a winner and the result sees Wrexham slip to 14th in the table.

Wrexham: Ward, Spender (90+2 Taylor), Kempson, Nat Brown, Mike Williams,Whalley (59 Louis), Mackin, Smith, Tremarco, Simon Brown, Marc Williams (75 Baynes).

Subs not used: Steve Evans, Fleming
