Wrexham's Marc Williams thinks Wales are ready for England match

Wrexham striker Marc Williams is aiming to continue a superb seven days with a match winning goal for Wales U21s in the second leg of their play off with England at Villa Park tomorrow.
Having scored three goals for Wrexham as they recorded back-to-back victories for the first time in 18 months against Forest Green and York City, Williams' impressive form was rewarded with a call up to Brian Flynn's squad for the double header with their English rivals.
And despite a disappointing 3-2 loss at Ninian Park on Friday night, Williams believes that his team mates can turn the game around.
"It is obviously disappointing to lose, but if you look at the players they have got, they all start in the Premiership," he said.
"The first 20 minutes we played them off the park.
"It is good to be involved, it would have been nice to have played, but we have another leg at Villa Park and in front of 40,000 they are the type of games you want to play in.
"First 10, 20 minutes, all the Welsh were behind us and it was good to hear, we went one goal up and in the end we were unlucky not to get a better result.
"Even from the bench the standard of football was a joy to watch. To go on would have been great, but if I work hard between now and Tuesday I may get my chance."
Williams has profited since the appointment of Dean Saunders as the Reds' boss, and the hit man admitted that he has worked miracles in a short space of time.
"It's been great since Dean Saunders took over as manager," he said. "I have got a couple of goals, Wrexham have started winning again and I have been called back into the under 21s.
"It would have been nice to have capped the week off with a goal at this level, but as I said, we have another game against them on Tuesday and hopefully I can get some pitch time.
"He has had four or five days, and a lot has changed. We needed this.
You can see from the two games we have played that he has got people working and we have shown passion and belief.
"He's got the players working and if you don't then you won't be playing. Previously the same 11 would play week in, week out regardless of the score.
"His policy is that you have got to earn the right to play for Wrexham and that can only be good for pushing us up the league.
"For example Tom Kearney, the club captain hasn't been involved in the last two games, he has played young Flemmo (Andy Fleming) who hasn't had a chance in the past.
"The lads who had been playing previously have had to work hard under the new manager to earn the right for a shirt. The new gaffer is making sure that every player is trying hard to get good results."
Speaking about his own upturn in fortunes, Williams highlighted a pleasing change in policy with Saunders blooding a number of the clubs youngsters.
"Me and Mike have been at the club for 11 or 12 years," he said.
"When we are watching players who are not giving 110 per cent, you just want to be out there playing.
"Neil Taylor got the captaincy the other night, Wes Baynes played at right back, Flemmo, we have all played at youth level together.
"We showed the fighting spirit by coming from behind at Forest Green and we have now got more momentum.
"I have just been waiting for a chance. Certain things happened behind the scenes with Brian Little with me which meant I wasn't involved, but the new manager has come in and shown his faith and I have just got to keep repaying him.
"I have got to keep showing him I can do it. Keep scoring goals and giving my all in training."
Wales will go into the second leg without Derby defender Lewin Nyatanga.
The 20-year-old was a late inclusion in the first match, with Wales hit by defensive injury problems.
Nyatanga had originally expected to be involved in the seniors' World Cup qualifier with Liechtenstein on Saturday, but at the last minute was drafted into the under-21 side.
However, senior boss John Toshack will have Nyatanga back in his squad for today's trip to Germany for the World Cup match in Monchengladbach on Wednesday.
That means that Wrexham defender Mike Williams could well come in for the Villa Park match, making the daunting jump from non-league football to face the likes of Gabriel Agbonlahor, Fraizer Campbell and James Milner.
