Obi set to feature for Wrexham

YOUTH team striker Obi Anoruo has been drafted into the Wrexham squad for tonight's FA Cup replay against Eastwood.
The Nigerian-born 18-year-old is a second year scholar at the club's Centre of Excellence and has impressed for the young Reds in the Youth Alliance League this season, weighing in with his fair share of goals.
Anoruo, who lives with his grandparents on Merseyside, did figure as a second half substitute in July's pre-season friendly at Colwyn Bay but has yet to make a competitive appearance for the first team.
But after training with the senior players yesterday, Saunders hinted that Anoruo could be given his chance in attack with leading scorer Jefferson Louis (hamstring) again missing.
"We have some good young players at the club and I've already given a number of them a chance to impress further with the first team," said Saunders.
"Obi is another and with Jeff still out with a hamstring strain, I hope he takes this opportunity like the others have done."
Saunders may decide on further changes after Saturday's goal-less draw and the former Wales international striker is focussed on securing a place in round one.
"I am treating it like a league match and that we are going to win it," said Saunders. "I'm putting the winning mentality into people.
"Then it is getting back on the bus with Lewes in mind, and winning that. We've got to keep the run going.
"I know we won't win every game until the end of the season and not play at our best at times, but we've got to try to keep winning."
Saunders took some positives out of Saturday's draw, namely the fact Wrexham kept a first clean sheet, and remain unbeaten, under his tenure.
"We have got to roll our sleeves up because we can't have it all our own way," said Saunders.
"We did not play silky football on Saturday but we showed flashes of the football I want us to play.
"I want hard work, effort, enthusiasm and determination again. The good thing was we kept a clean sheet - my first here - and did not lose, but obviously we have got to improve."
Saunders knows that Eastwood will be no pushovers but wants his players to rise to the occasion, too.
"All credit to Eastwood, they came and made it difficult for us," added Saunders.
"It was a massive game for them but it was also a massive game for us.
"But it is half-time, eleven against eleven, and it does not matter who you play.
"I am not one for home and aways. History tells us you win more at home than away.
"But we are treating it as a home game and have got to go into it thinking we have got to win."
