RED ALERT - Safety is just one win away for McParland's men

MANAGER Ian McParland believes one more victory will be enough to ensure that his Notts County side avoid relegation.
County have opened up a five point victory over the bottom two following Saturday's 1-0 victory against Accrington Stanley at Meadow Lane.
That important win did wonders for County's hope of survival and they now have three matches remaining to finish the job off.
First up is tomorrow's match against Wrexham at The Racecourse; and County – now fourth from bottom in the table – end their campaign with matches against play-off chasing Wycombe Wanderers and Chesterfield.
Last weekend's victory against Accrington, which came after a run of four games without success in which just two points were gathered, and has given County some breathing space. But McParland knows the Magpies have still got to finish the job off.
"We have gone above Dagenham which is good and we have got a better goal-difference to them as well," said McParland.
"But we are not relaxing at all because there is still work to do.
"It may look as if there is some breathing space but I feel one more win is required.
"We have to go and win that game now – hopefully at Wrexham.
"Wrexham are going to be fighting for their lives, just like we are and it's not going to be a game for the faint-hearted.
"We will go there and give it our best and hopefully get some sort of result to put it all to bed."
Ryan Jarvis scored the all important goal for County to boost their hopes of avoiding the drop.
The on-loan Norwich striker insists County can't rest on their laurels and is targeting three points at basement side Wrexham who themselves could be relegated tomorrow if they fail to produce a better result than third from bottom Dagenham and Redbridge who are at Rotherham.
"We're not resting up just yet," said Jarvis.
"We have a massive game coming up at Wrexham. We're not safe yet and we want to go there and try and secure our safety with a win.
"We're not sitting back and relaxing. We will be getting some good training in this week and then going to Wrexham in a positive frame of mind."
County, who have been in the lower reaches all season, have a ten point advantage over Wrexham who do have a game in hand.
But Wrexham's hopes of pulling clear of trouble have been dealt a massive blow with the Reds going into tomorrow's clash with County on the back of a seven game winless run which has produced just a two point return.
County themselves have not been blessed with victories in their fight for survival prior to last Saturday's success against Accrington.
And although they haven't dropped into the relegation zone, the gap between the bottom two and McParland's side has been as low as one point since Christmas.
Draws have very much been the order of the day for County.
Since the turn of the year, County have won four of their 21 matches, drawing ten and losing the other seven.
In total, County have seen 17 of their 43 fixtures this season end in stalemate – the highest amount of draws by any side in League Two.
And although – like Wrexham – they have found scoring a problem, County have not exactly been shipping goals in recent months.
County may not have been picking up many victories – but they conceded just two goals in March.
Goalkeeper Russell Hoult kept five clean sheets in that time, but only two goals scored at the other end meant County won one, lost one, and drew five matches.
Having leaked six goals in two defeats at the start of April, parity was restored with another shut-out in last weekend's vital 1-0 win over Accrington.
Hoult – on loan from Stoke City – keeps his place in goal while Lee Canoville, Mike Edwards, Michael Johnson and Stephen Hunt should continue in goal, and a three-man midfield should contain 11-goal leading scorer Richard Butcher, Neil MacKenzie and Myles Weston.
Ryan Jarvis, last weekend's hero could either play in a free role or form a three man attack alongside Danny Crow – on loan from Peterborough – and the experienced Jason Lee.
THE ONE TO WATCH: Michael Johnson
EXPERIENCED centre-back Michael Johnson has been in excellent form since re-joining Notts County on loan.
Johnson returned to the Magpies on loan from Derby County in February until the end of the season, 13 years after leaving the club.
The 34-year-old began his career at Meadow Lane as a schoolboy and an apprentice at the club before going on to feature for the first team.
A spell at Birmingham followed before Johnson joined Derby, and he has made more than 500 league appearances in the career.
Johnson, who has also spent time on loan with Sheffield Wednesday this term, made three Premiership appearances for Derby and is a former Jamaican international.
