WREXHAM'S six game unbeaten run was ended by Darren Ferguson's Peterborough at The Racecourse.

The Reds were undone by a second-half double from Jamie Day - and the result leaves Brian Little's side four points adrift at the bottom of the table after Mansfield's draw with Bury.

Silvio Spann started in place of the injured Danny Sonner in an otherwise unchanged line-up from Saturday's 0-0 draw with Grimsby.

Drewe Broughton, who 24 hours earlier had sent MK Dons to Wembley, continued up front but could not repeat his heroics for the Reds.

The result leaves Wrexham desperate for three points when fellow strugglers Mansfield visit The Racecourse on Saturday.

For a full report and reaction to the game, don't miss Wednesday's Evening Leader.
