ONE striker has completed his move to Wrexham while another frontman's arrival is not as clear cut as some reports make out.
Cameroon international Suffo, pictured right, last week agreed a short term deal with Wrexham and he has now been given the necessary clearance to play for the Reds.

The FA of Wales finally tracked down his registration paperwork after liasing with previous clubs in Israel and Spain and Suffo – who travelled with the Reds' squad to Weymouth – said: "I am very pleased that this has all been sorted.

"Now I'm looking forward to getting my chance and I can't wait to start playing again.

"There is a good squad here already and if we continue to show the spirit I was at Weymouth, then I have a good feeling for the rest of the season."

However, reports that suggest Barnet striker Keiron St Aimie is having talks with Wrexham are premature.

The 19-year-old, made available for transfer or loan by Barnet, spent a couple of days training with Wrexham last week but has since returned to his club.

Assistant manager Terry Darracott admitted that manager Dean Saunders would like to take another look at St Aimie, who scored two goals during a loan spell with Grays Athletic against Wrexham in September, but stressed no attempts have yet been made to sign the former Queens Park Rangers trainee.

"We are hoping Keiron comes back up here," said Darracott. "Keiron had a couple of days training here last week but it was terrible weather and difficult to have a proper look at him.

"We have spoken to the Barnet manager with regards to Kerion returning to have a look at him, and that is possible. Hopefully he will train here tomorrow and Friday.

"We are not in talks or discussed anything. He understands that we want to have a look at him."

Meanwhile, centre-back Ashley Westwood has extended his stay at The Racecourse.

The experienced Westwood initially earned a short term deal until January following a successful trial and has now signed on until the end of the season.

Having made a good impression in the Reds' first team, Westwood was handed the captain's armband at Weymouth on Saturday - Neil Taylor was rested - and Darracott has been pleased with his contribution.

"We have been delighted with Ashley's performances, he has been excellent and also sets a good example in training," added Darracott.

"Ashley is one of the older members of the group and he took the captaincy on and got a win under his belt which is great. It worked out well."
