The 22-year-old left-back was restricted to just 10 starts at Wrexham last term because of injury after leaving Tranmere Rovers, where first team opportunities had been limited, in the January transfer window.
Tremarco, who accepted the offer of a new two-year contract at Wrexham in May, has enjoyed run-outs in all three pre-season matches against Shrewsbury Town and former club Tranmere, which were both played behind closed doors, and in Saturday's 1-0 victory over Wolves.
And Tremarco is looking forward to more time on the pitch when Wrexham continue their build-up to their first Blue Square Premier campaign by welcoming Blackpool to The Racecourse on Saturday (3pm).
"I feel good," said Tremarco today. "With not playing towards the end of last season, I have not had much of a break during the summer.
"I only had a few weeks off before I was back in the gym quite early.
"I have had three run-outs and I have been getting to half-time gutted to be coming off because I wanted to stay on and play.
"But it is all a stepping stone towards the new season.
"I spoke to the Tranmere lads the other day and they know it's a chance for me to get games this season.
"I did not play many matches last season. When I came to Wrexham I thought I would – but then I got injured.
"The aim is to be involved a lot more and to help get Wrexham promoted.
"I am looking forward playing again against Blackpool and can't wait for the season to start."
But even though Tremarco wants to establish himself at Wrexham, he accepts there is competition for the left-back spot.
Neil Taylor made his mark in that position last term, although the Wales under 21 international has been used in a left midfield role so far in pre-season, while teenager Chris Marriott has signed his first professional contract and is highly thought of at Wrexham.
"I have never felt guaranteed a place in the team," said Tremarco. "There is always competition for places and I expect that.
"All everyone can do is work hard and value their place – take nothing for granted.
"Neil came through last season and did very well while Mazza is a good young player who will tackle a brick wall in his way if he had to.
"Neil and I can also both play left-wing so hopefully we will get the chance to link up on the left."
But Tremarco accepts that the aim this season is for Wrexham to mount a challenge for promotion back to the Football League at the first attempt.
The Reds open their campaign at home to Stevenage Borough on August 9 and the Reds also face two other fancied sides, Rushden and Diamonds and Oxford United, in the opening 12 days of the campaign.
Tremarco said Wrexham will be able to gauge how far they have developed as a team following that tricky start.
"The main priority is the team and to get to the play-offs at least," added Tremarco.
"We just have to take it one step at a time. We have still got lots to learn and with so many new players, we have still got to gel.
"But everyone's getting to know each other well, and getting along well, and I am feeling optimistic.
"We play some of the bigger teams in the first few games. They will be a decent test and will give us a good benchmark to see where we stand.
"They are some of the better teams and we'll know what the league is like, how we are going and where we need to improve."
- Supporters are reminded that just the Mold Road Stand will be open for Saturday's friendly against Blackpool at The Racecourse.
Admission costs £7 for adults and £3 concessions.
