Full-back Tremarco joined Wrexham at the start of the year after the Reds bought out the remainder of the full-back's contract from Tranmere Rovers.

The 22-year-old's deal expired this summer but he has been offered a new contract along with winger Matty Done.

And although he is pleased to have been offered a contract by Little who has already told 22 players they have no future at The Racecourse, Tremarco has not yet decided whether to accept.

But Tremarco, who played under Little when they were at Tranmere together, said he will not stall over the offer – out of respect for the Reds' boss.

"I did not not take it for granted I would get a contract offer, especially as I did not play as many games as I would have liked for Wrexham," said Tremarco today.

"We had talks and I just kept trying my hardest, but I was pleased to get the offer at the end of the season.

"The gaffer wants me to let him know as soon as possible and I will do.

Nothing is finalised yet. The offer was okay and we are still talking.

"I am not going to rush things but I won't mess him about.

"I have got a lot of respect for him. He has done some favours for me over the years and given me a few chances. But I have got to think about a few things.

"I have got to look after myself and see what route is best for me. We will have to see what happens."

Free agent Tremarco has been linked with a number of clubs in the Football League with Chester City the latest club rumoured to be interested in signing the full-back who was handed his first team debut at Tranmere in the 2003-04 season by Little.

But Tremarco said news he was a target of Blues boss Simon Davies was a surprise: "I know a few of the lads at Chester and have had a call saying Simon Davies reportedly wanted to take me there," said Tremarco, but it is news to me – I have heard nothing from Chester.

"Maybe some moves are right and some are wrong, and I suppose as a free agent you will get linked with clubs.

"The league has only just finished and we will see what comes about."

Tremarco, who found chances at Tranmere limited this season prior to his move to Wrexham, impressed on the left of defence but was restricted to ten starts because of injury.

Having returned to the side for Wrexham's last game in the Football League – a 4-2 win at Lincoln City – Tremarco admits he is raring for the new season to begin, wherever he may be lining up: "I am not going to spend too much time off," he added.

"I had six weeks off injured so I will be back doing some running and cycling in a week of two. I would like to come back in pre-season in some shape.

"After being out I was gutted the season finished when it did so I am looking foward to pre-season."

Little understands that Tremarco may prefer to find a club in the Football League, and said: "If he wants to move to a league club, we will have to accept his decision."

As well as waiting for decisions from Tremarco and Done, Little is hoping to resolve the future of centre-back Steve Evans by the end of the week.

Evans is also out of contract and although Little wants the Wales international to stay, and wants the matter clarified as soon as possible: "We have been in conversation with Steve," he added. "Tomorrow is the deadline day to try and establish which way we are going.

"We have not put an offer in writing as Steve could be looking elsewhere and moving on, though we'd like him to stay.

"The ball is in Steve's court and we will discuss it further tomorrow."
