WREXHAM FC continued their preparations for the new season with a 2-0 victory at Colwyn Bay.

The Reds' goals came courtesy of Carl Tremarco and Shaun Whalley.

Brian Little's side took the lead in the 22nd minute when Tremarco scored froma free kick, and they doubled their lead on 35 minutes when Whalley finished after being set up by Levi Mackin.

Silvio Spann went close with a free kick in the second half as Wrexham FC went in search of more goals.

Earlier in the day, Little had seen another Wrexham FC XI lose to TNS at Colliers Park in a behind-closed-doors friendly.

Marc Williams had given the Reds the lead after just a minute, but two goals in the second half secured victory for the Welsh Premier side.

Don't miss Monday's Evening Leader for more reaction.
