DEAN SAUNDERS has got selection headaches ahead of tomorrow's match against Stevenage Borough at Broadhall Way on Saturday.
Saunders has signed three more players on loan this week, with Cardiff City striker Jonathan Brown, left-back Sam Williamson and midfielder Ryan Flynn all added to The Racecourse ranks until January.

Brown and Williamson are in line to make their debuts at Stevenage, who Wrexham beat 5-0 on the opening day of the season, and Saunders is delighted to have a selection dilemma on his hands: "Good, that is what I want," he said today.

"Everyone knows the way we are trying to play and it is up to people to force their way in. Every day there is a chance for them - I have not shut the door on anyone.

"These lads who have come in on loan are just another player. It just adds competition for places."

With Saunders eager to keep improving Wrexham, 37 players currently have squad numbers, although five - Chris Maxwell, Chris Marriott, Darran Kempson, Nat Brown and Simon Brown - are out on loan.

But, having made seven loan signings of his own since taking charge, Saunders admits he will have to be more selective with the number of players he has on board when the transfer window re-opens in January.

"We are all set for the Christmas period now and then we will have a re-think in January," said Saunders.

"I am now trying to get as many points as we can, and looking to win every game.

"It will be another chapter in January when I will have to be a bit more selective."

Having won the first five league matches after taking charge, Saunders experienced defeat for the first time last weekend when Wrexham were beaten 1-0 at Kidderminster Harriers.

But Saunders could not fault the efforts of his players and is targeting nothing less than three points tomorrow: "I thought we ended well as we were determined to get back in it but it never went for us," he said.

"At least supporters saw lads in Wrexham shirts having a go, that's all I can ask. That's football and we will go to Stevenage and try to get another win tomorrow.

"The lads should be disappointed to lose - I have never liked losing in my career - but we are going in the right direction.

"We have made a good start but there is lots of hard work to do."
Saunders added: "The players are improving all the time, I can see that, but they have to be up for it.

"They have to do the horrible things and we can play our own game."

Right-back Ritchie de Laet, whose loan spell ends after tomorrow's game and midfielder Angelos Tsiaklis, are doubtful because of injury's sustained at Kidderminster.
