BRIAN LITTLE is treating tomorrow's opponents Colwyn Bay no different to Football League opposition that Wrexham FC have already faced in pre-season.
Wrexham FC take on Unibond League Division One outfit Colwyn Bay at Llanelian Road (July 26 at 2pm) on the back of a three-game unbeaten programme on home ground at The Racecourse.

After beating Wolves 1-0, the Reds drew 0-0 against Blackpool and then ground out another stalemate with Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday.
Pleased with how pre-season is developing, Little wants Wrexham FC to keep performing the way they have been.

"There's no reason to play any different," said Little today. "We've been playing a certain system and up to now it's been going okay.

"We have worked hard on breaking the opposition up early, pressurising them, playing with high tempo and getting more people involved in the attacking side when we are counter attacking.

"Last season we sat back too much so we are trying to get in amongst the opposition early.

"We are working the system and being positive in our play when we can."

With Wrexham FC also playing another behind-closed-doors friendly tomorrow morning, Little, after fielding two separate sides in previous pre-season matches, is planning to give all his senior players 90 minutes tomorrow.

Little is able to do that after seeing Shaun Whalley, Silvio Spann, Jefferson Louis, Wes Baynes and Neil Taylor all resume training yesterday.

But striker Simon Brown (thigh/groin strain) remains sidelined while defender Gareth Evans is doubtful after tweaking his ankle in training.

Trialist striker Adam Smith is hoping to overcome a hamstring problem to feature once again for the Reds, and another player hoping to earn a contract, midfielder Christian Smith, will also be given a run-out.

And Little said players should not read too much into which match they feature in tomorrow ahead of next Saturday's final friendly against Stafford Rangers.

"It is a shame about Gaz as he has done well," added Little.

"Adam is a bit stiff and he will only play if fit, but I would like another look at him and Christian.

"It is good news to have the others back.

"I will just pick two teams and give everyone 90 minutes. It is not an issue which game they play in as I will see them both.

"We are still working on fitness but the season is getting ever closer and we are in the final phase.

"I am not disappointed with how results so far have gone. But it would be nice to get a result or two in our final pre-season matches."
