WREXHAM FC camer from a goal down to earn a point at unbeaten Rushden and Diamonds in the Blue Square Premier.
The Reds bounced back from the disappointment of Thursday's defeat at York to secure a share of the spoils when summer signing Shaun Whalley struck on 75 minutes after being set up by substitute Neil Taylor.

Brian Little made changes to the side that had lost at York, with Steve Evans restored to centre of defence after Nat Brown failed to recover from a knock.

Levi Mackin also started after missing Thursday's match following his red card during the 5-0 victory over Stevenage on the opening day of the season.

The game remained goal-less until the 61st minutes when Sam Smith put Rushden ahead after being set up by by Andrew Burgess.

But Wrexham hit back and could have forced a winner late on when Whalley and Wes Baynes went close.

Wrexham: Ward, Spender, Kempson, Steve Evans, Tremarco, Brown, Kearney, Mackin, Aiston (71 Baynes), Louis (71 Taylor), Whalley

Subs not used: Marc Williams, Pejic, Mike Williams
