WREXHAM FC's winning streak came to an end with a 1-0 defeat at Kidderminster.
Dean Saunders' side - who had won their previous five games in the league - lost out to a goal midway through the first half when Brian Smikle scored after being set up by Matthew Barnes-Homer.
The Reds, who lost Richie De Laet through injury five minutes before the break, battled hard to find a way back into the game but were unable to find a way past Kidderminster keeper Adam Bartlett.
The story remained the same after the break, with promotion-chasing Kidderminster holding firm as Wrexham went in search of an equaliser.
Patrick Suffo, who was given international clearance to play for Wrexham earlier in the week, was brought on with half an hour to go but he too was unable to break the deadlock. Wes Baynes, Jefferson Louis and Nathan Woolfe also saw decent efforts go wide in the closing stages.
The result leaves Saunders' side 10 points adrift of leaders Histon with a game in hand, and four points off the final play-off spot.
Wrexham: Ward, De Laet (39 Taylor), Mike Williams, Westwood, Tremarco (63 Suffo), Baynes, Fairhurst (87 Mackin), Tsiaklis, Woolfe, Louis, Williams.
Subs not used: Steve Evans, Edwards
