Wrexham were sunk 1-0 by York City last night at The Kit Kat Crescent with Mark Greaves scoring the winner in the 74th minute from a corner.
Defeat came on the back of a fantastic 5-0 opening day victory against Stevenage Borough, another side tipped to be challenging for promotion.
And although disappointed to have been beaten, Little hopes Wrexham can bounce back when they take on Rushden and Diamonds at Nene Park on Sunday (3pm).
"There is no time to sulk, and we are not sulking," said Little today.
"We are disappointed, we have been kicked in the teeth but that is going to happen in this business, and that is going to happen in this league.
"If anyone thinks we are going to come out here and win every single game then they are wrong.
"We have played one of the better sides and a point would have been a good point here.
"But we have got three points against one of the other better sides and we will look forward to Sunday now to try and put it right.
"I am disappointed but you can't get disheartened. It is our job to get the players right again."
Little praised York for the way they performed and he believes emerging with a point from the first away trip in the Blue Square Premier would have been a good result for Wrexham.
"It's been a hard night because I think they are a decent side," said Little.
"York aren't going to lose too many games. I think a lot of teams will find it difficult against them; they are very powerful and strong.
"We matched them and it would have been a good point.
"When you come and play them (good teams) on their own grounds, they are not going to give in very easy as we didn't on Saturday.
"In fairness, we have done okay but okay is not quite good enough."
Little admitted that Wrexham struggled to cope in the first half with York's 4-3-3 formation and he decided to alter the Reds' system, with Jefferson Louis left as a lone frontman.
And Little thought Wrexham came more into the game after bolstering the midfield, with Shaun Whalley dropping back.
"Obviously I am disappointed," said Little.
"I think it took us half an hour to get into the game.
"They were better than us early doors and we were having a problem with their extra midfield players so we just matched them up for the last 15 minutes of the first half.
"I felt we settled things down and had a couple of half chances ourselves.
"I was pleased to get in 0-0 at half-time.
"And then I thought we did as much as we needed to perhaps get a 0-0 draw.
"In fairness, we need to do a little bit more."
Both sides had chances to open the scoring in the second half and Little was disappointed with the manner of Wrexham's defending for what turned out to be the winning goal from York's corner.
"I just felt there was a period in the second half where if anyone was going to score it was going to be us," added Little.
"Gavin Ward had to pull a couple of saves off, most especially when they got near the lead. Before that we looked as if we might sneak it.
"Then we gave the bad goal away from a corner and there was no road back after that.
"I am disappointed we did not get a point because to concede from a corner with what we have got in the team, I think we should have defended that better really."
