DEAN Saunders' winning start as Wrexham FC's manager continued with a fine 2-1 victory at Mansfield.
The Reds came from a goal down to earn their third successive victory since Saunders took over at The Racecourse - and jump to 8th in the Blue Square Conference.
Saunders, who only returned from international duty with Wales on Friday, made several changes to the starting line-up, with striker Michael Proctor earning a recall up front alongside Marc Williams.
Simon Brown was also recalled to the starting XI, while new signing Ashley Westwood made his debut in the heart of the defence at the expense of Steve Evans. Sam Aiston and Tom Kearney were handed places on the subs' bench.
Wrexham found themselves a goal down just before the half hour mark, when Emile Sinclair found the net for Mansfield.
But just a couple of minutes later the Reds were back on level terms when Mike Williams headed home Wes Baynes' corner.
After the break, Wrexham continued to press and were rewarded when Proctor set up Marc Williams, who fired them ahead from close range.
Mansfield went in search of an equaliser but couldn't break down a resolute Reds' defence to continue Saunders' perfect start as manager.
Wrexham: Ward, Tremarco (23 Spann), Mike Williams (77 Aiston), Westwood, Baynes, Taylor, Mackin, Allen, Brown (65 Steve Evans), Proctor, Marc Williams. Subs not used: Kearney, Anthony Williams
