WREXHAM'S relegation from the Football League was sealed after a 2-0 defeat at Hereford.
Brian Little's young side went into the game knowing they needed at least a draw to keep alive any hope of avoiding the drop.
And they started brightly, with Matty Done creating an excellent opening within minutes of kick-off.
But it was Hereford who had the better chances in the remainder of the half, and the Bulls took the lead on 42 minutes when Gary Hooper converted Theo Robinson's cross.
Back came Wrexham after the re-start, and Marc Williams forced a good save from Wayne Brown before Hereford wrapped up victory in the 60th minute when Robinson got on the end of Richard Rose's cross.
Little brought on leading scorer Michael Proctor, Danny Williams and Robbie Garrett but there was no way back for Wrexham.
The result means Wrexham's 87-year stay in the Football League is now over.
