MATCH REPORT: Cambridge 2 - Wrexham 0

NOT many positives could be taken out of Saturday's disappointing performance and result against Cambridge United.
Wrexham slumped to a second successive defeat at The Abbey Stadium and the 2-0 reversal leaves the Reds in 13th position in the Blue Square Premier table, six points off top spot.
Brian Little's side actually got off to a promising start, carving out a couple of early scoring opportunities, but after that bright opening spell the chances well and truly dried up.
Wrexham made little impact in the final third and, after a flurry of goals in their opening six matches, the Reds have not found the net in the last two outings.
Cambridge took the game to Wrexham who struggled to come to terms with the home team's three man attack.
That extra forward man enabled Cambridge to take the game to Wrexham and when they went a goal behind, you just could not see any way back for the Reds.
Cambridge looked a solid side and the better team won.
It was a comfortable win in the end but Wrexham contributed to that with their dismal display.
Wrexham have been made to look an ordinary side in recent matches and it was another frustrating afternoon.
No-one said getting out of this division would be easy, and although teams are judged on results, it is the manner of the performance which was the most disappointing feature at Cambridge.
It was little wonder that Little held a lengthy chat with his players in the changing room after the final whistle.
And Little, set to ring the changes, will demand a big improvement when Wrexham play host to Ebbsfleet United at The Racecourse on Saturday.
Little made one change to the side beaten by Burton in midweek.
With Steve Evans away on international duty, and Nat Brown still ruled out with a groin strain, Shaun Pejic was brought into the centre of defence for his first appearance of the season.
Wrexham were quick out of the blocks and created the first scoring chance after just 70 seconds.
Simon Brown latched onto Jefferson Louis's flick-on and although the striker was able to hook over keeper Danny Potter, the ball fell wide of the target.
Levi Mackin brought a first save out of Potter as the keeper tipped his deflected 20 yard drive around the post for a corner.
It was a bright start by Wrexham but back came Cambridge and former Reds' striker Lee McEvilly headed Mark Beesley's cross against the foot of a post, and Chris Holroyd's effort from outside the area was tipped over the bar by keeper Ward.
McEvilly also sliced wide from a good position, but Cambridge took the lead in the 28th minute.
Mark Convery delivered a corner which was nodded on by Holroyd and an unmarked Beesley volleyed home from close range at the back post.
Wrexham switched to a 4-3-3 to try and cancel out Cambridge who had taken control of the contest, and Simon Spender and Mackin combined to set up Brown but his low drive was comfortably gathered by Potter.
The home side were causing their share of problems and Ward was forced into a save by Beesley.
Wes Baynes saw a powerful drive tipped over the bar by Potter one minute before the break, but the good start Wrexham made had petered out.
The second half began with a stretching Mackin failing to hit the target, but with Wrexham struggling to get back into the match, Proctor was brought on in place of Baynes.
However, Cambridge took a 2-0 lead on 63 minutes.
McEvilly was afforded plenty of space and sent in a dangerous cross, and Beesley turned the ball home despite the best efforts of Ward who almost denied the striker a goal.
Louis headed a Tom Kearney cross into the sidenetting when he should have done better, while Sam Aiston replaced Brown with eight minutes remaining.
A mis-hit Aiston cross almost found the net, but Wrexham did not look like mounting a fightback and Cambridge's victory was in the bag.
